What’s the big Holeys craze all about?
There are so many reasons to wear Holeys, and as many different types of people who love them! The common denominator is the all day comfort that the shock absorbing foam provides, especially for people walking or standing all day. Another attraction is the funky and unusual look, along with all of the vibrant colours available. People who wear these clogs love them so much, they want their friends to talk about them.

Who wears these wild shoes?
It’s amazing to think that one shoe could please so many people. The Explorer was originally designed as a water sports clog, and has now evolved into a line of footwear for all walks of life. The outdoor enthusiast wears Holeys to keep feet cool in summer, while keeping toes protected. Amazing comfort & foot support for all day wear, chefs, nurses and retail workers love their Holeys. Easy to slip on & off for the garden, and easy to hose off any dirt & mud. Travelers can count on bringing only one pair of all purpose sandals, so light to carry in a backpack. Sports fans enjoy the ease of wear after the game, and what a perfect footwear for the gym, change room and shower!
There are already so many colours to choose from but I still want more. Will there be new colours to choose from soon?
All Holeys models come in a variety of tried and true colours. We carry basic colours, in stock year-round, and several seasonal colours which change regularly. However, we are always expanding and creating new colours and new styles to choose from. Keep an eye on our website for any new developments.
Honey, I shrunk my Holeys!
Holeys are unusual in that they are created by injecting our
SmartCel foam into a mold. The foam goes in as a hot liquid & then
pops out and expands into super comfie foam!
This of course is done
with alot of heat in the process and what that means is that once you
own your Holeys, if they are exposed to a high degree of heat, they
will want to shrink back to where they came from!
So we recommend that you do not leave your foam clogs on a hot house deck, or a boat deck, and especially not in a hot car trunk or close to the car windows.
We hope you never have the shock of finding your favourite soles diminished.

Are Holeys dangerous on escalators?
A number of things can get caught in escalators such as shoelaces, long jeans, and long hair. More recently, a child’s foot was caught in an escalator while wearing Crocs.
Officials say when the teeth at the bottom of an escalator are broken, they create larger gaps and can put kids at greater risk of getting caught.
Officials recommend that parents should always exercise caution with their younger children on any escalator, regardless of what they are wearing.
It is recommended to pick children up when going onto an escalator or getting off.
Do you make the shoes in Canada?
The original product that was available on the market was made by a Canadian manufacturer. As Holeys gained popularity, our customers wanted more! Back in 2004, we created our own models and started producing in China. We visit the factory regularly and are constantly improving our processes.
China is also the manufacturing country of choice for foam injected shoes. Factories
we deal with are chosen because they have high health and safety standards and absolutely
no child labour. The competitive cost of manufacturing allows us to
offer high quality product at reasonable prices.
How long will Holeys last? What if the strap or rivet breaks?
Holeys have been real-life tested for over 4 years and can stand up to full time use for a suprisingly long time!
The original Explorer model with the foam sole can last over a year, even with constant use.
Our new Sole-tek thermo rubber sole will ensure years of wear with the added bonus of retaining the comfort of the SmartCel foam as it isn't being worn away over time.

If you experience any breakdown of material or parts, please return to your retailer with proof of purchase within one year for a replacement pair.

I just went hiking in a gooey bug infested swamp in my Holeys and they are caked in mud. How do I wash them?
Just rinse them off with water or
wear them right into the shower. Heavily soiled clogs might need to be scrubbed
with dish liquid every now and again but most of the time water will do the
trick.
You can sterilize them in one part bleach and ten parts water. Using a rubber cleaner, like Armor All, will help keep your clogs looking like new for many years to come. In fact, one Holeys owner throws her pair in the washing machine on cold with her jeans.
Can I get a customized pair of Holeys?

Do Holeys really float on water?
YES! Holeys are made of our unique SmartCel™ ultra lightweight closed cell polymer foam. A pair of medium Holeys weighs in at less than 150 grams. The weight is especially important when doing water sports or playing in the surf…if your Holeys fall off in the water, they will float to the surface for your convenience.
